Cartridge and Converter Guide

🧪 Installing Ink: Cartridge & Converter Guide

From empty vessel to inked relic.

Whether you're preparing your Frost Pen for its first inscription or switching inks between chapters, this guide ensures a clean, confident fill—without compromising the integrity of your resin pour.

🗂️ Ink Cartridge Installation

Best for: Quick setup, minimal mess, travel-friendly use.

Steps:

  1. Disassemble the pen
    • Unscrew the barrel from the nib section.
  2. Insert the cartridge
    • Hold the cartridge firmly and push it straight into the back of the nib unit until you feel a soft “click.”
    • This punctures the seal and allows ink to flow.
  3. Wait and test
    • Allow a few minutes for ink to saturate the feed.
    • If needed, gently prime by scribbling or lightly shaking (cap on).
  4. Reassemble and write
  • Screw the barrel back on and enjoy smooth flow.

Tip: Store spare cartridges in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme heat—it can warp the seal or cause leaks.

🧭 Filling a Converter

Best for: Ink variety, shimmer inks, and deeper customization.

Steps:

  1. Attach the converter
    • Insert the converter into the nib section just like a cartridge.
    • Ensure a snug fit—no wobble.
  2. Submerge the nib
    • Dip the entire nib into your ink bottle until the nib is fully submerged, but not the entire section.
  3. Draw ink
    • Twist the converter mechanism to draw ink up through the nib.
    • Repeat once or twice for a full fill and proper saturation.
  4. Wipe and reassemble
  • Carefully wipe excess ink from the nib and grip with a soft cloth.
  • Screw the barrel back on and test flow.

🧙 Lorekeeper’s Note: Shimmer and pigment-rich inks may require more frequent cleaning. But they also tell the richest stories.
