𧪠Installing Ink: Cartridge & Converter Guide
From empty vessel to inked relic.
Whether you're preparing your Frost Pen for its first inscription or switching inks between chapters, this guide ensures a clean, confident fillâwithout compromising the integrity of your resin pour.
đď¸ Ink Cartridge Installation
Best for:Â Quick setup, minimal mess, travel-friendly use.
Steps:
- Disassemble the pen
- Unscrew the barrel from the nib section.
- Insert the cartridge
- Hold the cartridge firmly and push it straight into the back of the nib unit until you feel a soft âclick.â
- This punctures the seal and allows ink to flow.
- Wait and test
- Allow a few minutes for ink to saturate the feed.
- If needed, gently prime by scribbling or lightly shaking (cap on).
- Reassemble and write
- Screw the barrel back on and enjoy smooth flow.
Â
â¨Â Tip: Store spare cartridges in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme heatâit can warp the seal or cause leaks.

đ§ Filling a Converter
Best for:Â Ink variety, shimmer inks, and deeper customization.
Steps:
- Attach the converter
- Insert the converter into the nib section just like a cartridge.
- Ensure a snug fitâno wobble.
- Submerge the nib
- Dip the entire nib into your ink bottle until the nib is fully submerged, but not the entire section.Â
- Draw ink
- Twist the converter mechanism to draw ink up through the nib.
- Repeat once or twice for a full fill and proper saturation.
- Wipe and reassemble
- Carefully wipe excess ink from the nib and grip with a soft cloth.
- Screw the barrel back on and test flow.

đ§Â Lorekeeperâs Note: Shimmer and pigment-rich inks may require more frequent cleaning. But they also tell the richest stories.
